Yes. The Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000 (hereinafter referred to as “Noise Rules, 2000) has been enacted and enforced in India in order to regulate and control noise producing and generating sources. It aims to maintain the ambient air quality standards in respect of noise.
Noise Rules, 2000 also apply to hospitals. The Noise Rules, 2000 defines hospitals as an “institution for the reception and care of sick, wounded, inform or aged persons and includes government or private hospitals, nursing homes and clinics.”
