124.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines administered in U.S., says CDC

A total of 124,481,412 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States as of Sunday morning, reported the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The figure includes Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech and Johnson & Johnson vaccines as of 6 a.m. ET (1000 GMT) on Sunday. The agency did not update the number of doses that have been distributed. The tally posted on March 20 stated that 121,441,497 doses of the vaccines had been administered while a total of 156,734,555 doses had been distributed. In all, 81,415,769 individuals had been given at least one dose while 44,141,228 had been fully vaccinated as of Sunday. Overall, 7,662,913 vaccine doses have been administered in long-term care facilities, reported the CDC… (Reuters, March 21, 2021)
