A day after registering over 11,000 COVID-19 cases in a single day, the highest figure thus far, Mumbai recorded 9,857 fresh cases on Monday, and 21 fatalities due to the disease, stated the city civic body.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation data states that the tally of COVID-19 cases in the city stood at 4,62,302, while the death count increased to 11,797. The city had registered a record 11,163 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday. The number of deaths was recorded as 25 on that day. The recovery rate in the city has come down to 81%. The overall COVID-19 growth rate has risen to 1.70%, and the case doubling rate has declined to 40 days in the city… (NDTV – PTI, April 5, 2021)
