U.S. President Joe Biden has stated that the Centers for Disease Control will likely advise children who havent received a COVID-19 vaccine to wear masks when they come to school in the fall.

Biden said that the CDC will likely say that all children below 12 years of age should wear masks in school. Children above the age of 12 years who got vaccinated do not have to wear a mask, said Biden. The President of the United States also said that children below 12 would soon be able to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

The CDC recommendations are not mandatory and the mask requirements by a school may vary between districts. Thus far, some have adopted stricter requirements while others have no requirements at all… (Reuters, July 22, 2021)
