Italy Tightens Restrictions on Unvaccinated People

Italy has tightened the restrictions on people who are not taking a COVID-19 vaccine, limiting access to a wide range of services. The country also made vaccines compulsory for a larger group of public sector workers.

The measures will come into force from December 6 and unvaccinated people will not be allowed to enter cinemas, restaurants and sports events, said the government in a statement. Mandatory vaccination, already in place for healthcare workers, will be extended to all school staff, police and the military, with effect from December 15. The booster dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, currently being administered to people above 40, will be made available to everyone above 18 years of age… (NDTV – Reuters, November 25, 2021)
