Vascular inflammation in psoriasis increases risk of heart attacks and stroke

Patients with psoriasis are at a higher risk of developing heart attacks and strokes due to vascular inflammation, says a study reported in the October 2017 issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Vascular inflammation was significantly associated with disease duration and the risk increased 1.0% per additional year of the disease duration.
