Decision to do a CT scan post-chronic subdural hematoma surgery should be individual based
Results of the To Scan or Not to Scan: The Role of Follow-up CT Scanning for Management of Chronic Subdural Hematoma After Neurosurgical Evacuation (TOSCAN) trial suggest that a routine CT scan after surgery for a chronic subdural hematoma is not required and the decision to do a CT should be based on individual patient. These findings were presented May 18, 2018 at the 4th European Stroke Organisation Conference (ESOC) 2018 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
