Coexisting fibromyalgia in patients with inflammatory arthritis affects disease severity
According to a systematic review and meta-analysis reported May 16, 2018 in Rheumatology, fibromyalgia may exist along with inflammatory arthritis and affect severity of disease and treatment decisions. Fibromyalgia was seen in 21% patients with rheumatoid arthritis and 13% in ankylosing spondylitis vs 1-5% in the general population.
