ACOG recommends against vaginal seeding for infants

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists ACOG does not encourage or recommend vaginal seeding for infants outside of the context of institutional review board approved research due to lack of data regarding the safety and efficacy of vaginal seeding. ACOG Committee Opinion 725 Vaginal Seeding will be published in the November 2017 issue of the journal Obstetrics Gynecology.
