Women with history of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy at risk of type 2 diabetes

 Women with history of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy are not only at higher risk of cardiometabolic disease during their reproductive years, but hypertensive disorders of pregnancy is also associated with increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes between age 50 and 60 years and beyond established risk factors, suggests a study published online September 10, 2018 in Cardiovascular Diabetology.
