IDSA updated guidelines on acute gastroenteritis

The Infectious Diseases Society of America IDSA has updated guidelines on diagnosing and managing infectious diarrhea. These guidelines are available on IDSA website and were also published October 19 2017 in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases. Children younger than five the elderly people who are immune compromised and those with bloody diarrhea severe abdominal pain or tenderness or signs of sepsis particularly need to be tested.
