New research published online Nov. 21, 2018 in the journal Diabetologia has shown that non-invasive skin autofluorescence measurement predicts incident type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and mortality in the general population independent of several traditional risk factors such as obesity, metabolic syndrome, glucose and A1c.
