Patients have become more aware now. They consult their doctors as soon as they sense that something is wrong. As a result, patients are being diagnosed early. This enables the doctors to provide more aggressive treatment early in the course of the disease yielding better outcomes. However, percentage of such patients is still very small. Most patients are still diagnosed late, resulting in slow intensification of treatment.
