  • Monoclonal gammopathy of renal significance (MGRS) is caused by monoclonal immunoglobulin (MIg) secreted by B-cell clones.
  • A kidney biopsy and establishment of the pathogenesis of monoclonal proteins are required before cytotoxic treatment.
  • The aim of treatment in MGRS is to preserve the renal function.
  • In advanced CKD complete hematologic response is achieved to prevent recurrence in kidney transplant and to improve the allograft survival.
