Ambulance nitroglycerin patch to lower BP did not improve stroke outcomes, says study
Lowering blood pressure in the ambulance with a nitroglycerin patch for suspected stroke did not lessen post-stroke disability, according to results of the RIGHT-2 trial (Rapid Intervention with Glyceryl trinitrate in Hypertensive stroke Trial-2) presented Feb. 6, 2019 at the American Stroke Association’s International Stroke Conference 2019 in Honolulu.
