Lab fined Rs 7 lakh for wrongly diagnosing woman of cancer
The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Nashik, has held a diagnostic lab guilty of erroneously reporting that a woman had cancer and ordered it to pay a compensation of Rs 7 lakh.Complainant Ragini Aher, a doctor by profession, had to undergo chemotherapy and later came to know that she had been misdiagnosed by the Super Religare Laboratories (SRL) after she went for a second opinion.
