For the first time in the history of Armed Forces, Indian Army will give High Altitude Training to a private medical team of Six Sigma at High Altitude Warfare School, Gulmarg, Kashmir.

Six Sigma is the only non-government organization in the country that is trained by the maximum number of Military and Para Military Forces- Air Force, ITBP, BSF, CRPF and NDRF. Six Sigma Healthcare is an eminent medical organization that provides free Mountain Medicine Services at high altitudes. Without any help or donations, Six Sigma is always ready for duty.

The exercise involves mountain medicines, latest mountain equipment, rock climbing, river crossing, peak climbing, rappelling, basic life support, advance cardiac life support, communication on high altitudes, glacier and avalanche rescue, etc.

The exercise is being conducted for the first time in collaboration with the Indian Army. The aim is to train the Medical Officers of Six Sigma Team as the organization is highly active in high altitude medical services and rescue work. Dr. Pradeep Bhardwaj, Medical Director, Six Sigma High Altitude Medical Rescue Services, said that these life saving skills will help them in better rescue management on high altitudes. The Mountain Medicines is the most difficult medical service.

This year Six Sigma High Altitude team is organizing free high altitude medical services at Kedarnath, Badrinath, Hemkund and Madhyamaheshwar in Uttarakhand. The team will also cover Kailash Mansarovar Yatra medical services at Nepal route up to the height of 19,500 feet in China.
