In a shocking incident from the KGF Government Hospital in Kolar, Karnataka, it has been reported that a 22-year-old pregnant woman was made to wait for hours and was not admitted to the hospital even as she struggled with labour pain.

In a video that has now gone viral on social media, it can be clearly seen that the woman was lying on the hospital floor and squirming in pain. Even after waiting for hours, she was denied admission and was not even seen by any attending physician. The woman was eventually taken to a private hospital, but sadly, her child did not survive the ordeal.

This is a case of extreme medical negligence by the doctors at the hospital, where the pregnant woman lost her baby while she herself barely escaped death. The woman’s husband was forced to take her to another private hospital after no medical staff came out to attend to the woman. The doctors at the private hospital said that they managed to save the life of the woman, but could not save the baby.

While the family of the patient is planning to lodge a police complaint, the surgeon on call at that time at the KGF Hospital has been suspended by the heath authorities.
