Transgender is not a mental disorder

Excerpts CNN News: The term the WHO uses to describe transgender people -- "gender incongruence" is being moved to the panels sexual health chapter from its mental disorders chapter. The new classification will improve social acceptance among transgender people while still making important health resources available.

The new standard of classification appears in the 11th revision of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD-11), which was adopted Saturday by the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland. It will go into effect on January 1, 2022.

The WHO uses gender incongruence to describe people whose gender identity is different from the gender they were assigned at birth.

The WHO does not expect the ICD change to affect transgender peoples need for health care.

This is not the first time the ICD has changed a classification related to sexuality. In 1990, the WHO declared that "sexual orientation alone is not to be regarded as a disorder."

Why Dal-Chawal or Chawal Rajma

Maximum Temperature more than 40.0°C were recorded at most places over Punjab, Haryana,Chandigarh & Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand; at many places over Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana and Gujarat Region; at a few places over North Interior Karnataka, Tamilnadu & Puducherry and Saurashtra & Kutch and at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttrakhand, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal and Bihar.

Maximum temperature departures as on 30-05-2019: Maximum temperatures are markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at a few places over Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, West Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and North Interior Karnataka; at isolated places over Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at most places over Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand; at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Vidarbha and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura; at a few places over Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra, Coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep; at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal, Gujarat Region, Telangana, Kerala and Tamil Nadu & Puducherry; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over East Madhya Pradesh; at a few places over Chhattisgarh and Rayalaseema and at isolated places over Odisha. They are appreciably below normal (-5.0°C to -3.1°C) at isolated places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Assam & Meghalaya and Coastal Andhra Pradesh; below normal (-3.0°C to -1.6°C) at many places over Sub- Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, The highest maximum temperature of 48.2°C was recorded at Banda (East Uttar Pradesh).

Heat wave conditions in most parts with severe heat wave in isolated pockets over East Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan and Vidarbha. Heat wave conditions in some parts over Telangana and Marathwada and at isolated pockets over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujarat state, Madhya Maharashtra, Interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu & Puducherry.
