Over 300 doctors and 1100 nurses posts are vacant in Himachal Pradesh, says Government

State Health and Family Welfare Minister Vipin Singh Parmar said on Wednesday that posts of over 300 doctors and 1,100 staff nurses are vacant in Himachal Pradesh.

He gave reply to queries raised by Congress MLA Mohan Lal Brakta and BJPs Vinod Kumar during Question Hour and the Health Minister informed the Assembly that the posts of 319 doctors and 1106 staff nurses are vacant in the state.

He said while providing the data that 590 doctors had been appointed from August 1, 2018 to July 31, 2019,but no staff member was appointed during this period.

The minister further said that the appointment of medical staff is an ongoing process.
