A promptly given cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) by two Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport saved life of a passenger after he collapsed near the domestic security hold area of Terminal-3.

The act was captured in the CCTV footage which shows two CISF personnel, identified as Constable Madhusudan and Constable Manoj Kumar, rushing to the spot and providing CPR to the passenger till he gained consciousness.

The CISF officials informed that the passenger, Ashok Mahajan, fell unconscious and collapsed while waiting at Terminal-3. He, along with seven co-passengers was travelling to Udaipur by Vistara Airlines through flight no UK 627 when the incident took place.

CPR is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating. Immediate CPR can double or triple chances of survival after cardiac arrest.
