A video of a political party employees tressing that a compulsory family planning drive by doctors inside Gingee government hospital had gone viral on social media. On Sunday, a criminal case was filed against him. Since then he has been absconding and a hunt is on to find him.

Naam Thamizhar Katchi member, Shankar on 26th February rushed into the female ward of the hospital to makean awareness, but his efforts were not praise worthy.

Doctor K Pazhamalai (47) from Gingee government hospital said that a commotion was created by the man as he entered the female ward and tried to prompt the women stating that the doctors and the government are forcing them to undergo family planning operation. Shankar also made a video without the consent of the patients and without an authorized permission to shoot inside the hospital premises.

In the video he is been seen saying that central government cant kill them directly and they are applying this scheme to indirectly kill their people. Over one lakh Tamil people have been killed in this genocide. And it is a clear plot to kill Tamil people in a different manner. They should not fulfill this so wake up to reality.

Express contacted Shankar and he said that women having two children are forced to undergo the family planning operation. It is a conspiracy that is planned by anti-Tamil determined forces in the government.

Dr Pazhamalai, told Express that Kallakurichi is a socially underdeveloped district and leads the state in high-order pregnancy (HOP) that means a woman giving birth to more than two children. The directorate of medical services in Chennai has instructed to control this rate, as the women are unhealthy and HOP can cause severe health issues in the mother such asanemia, diabetes and high or low blood pressure. They are facing high maternal death rates due to this, hence the doctors had to educate the women and men on the consequences of having more than two children. With their consent only, they do family planning operation. No patient is being forced and they get them to sign the consent form before surgery.

Kallakurichi district collector had taken this matter seriously and has sought action after the video went viral.
