20 suspected cases of coronavirus in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana

On Wednesday, Telangana Health Minister E Rajendra said that a total number of 20 suspected cases of coronavirus has approached hospitals in the state. The government was prepared to manage the situation and there was no need to panic among the state. He also stated that no person from Telangana has yet been tested positive for coronavirus.

The Health Minister has urged people in the state not to and people can contact on helpline number 104 for queries. A command control centre has been established at the Health Department that shall monitor all the operations 24x7.

Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan earlier confirmed 28 cases of coronavirus in the country. Altogether, deaths due to coronavirus disease has crossed 3,000 globally. The deadly virus that originated in China has infected more than 90,000 people.

Amidst coronavirus panic, Telangana police made an appeal to the people not to spread rumours on social media relating to the coronavirus. The officials also stated that those found guilty will be booked. The official has urged people to follow the advisory issued by the Medical and Health Department to prevent this virus.

On 4th March, the Telangana police issued the advisory in the stir of coronavirus positive case in Hyderabad. The rumours being spread about the virus over social media platforms are causing panic among people.
