Hot flashes could be precursor to diabetes, says study

A new study published online December 6, 2017 in the journal Menopause has suggested that hot flashes, especially when accompanied by night sweats also may increase the risk of developing diabetes by 18%. This risk continued to increase on the basis of the severity and duration of the hot flashes.
