Delhi government officials stated that on Sunday Delhi reported 293 fresh coronavirus cases which is the second highest in a day, taking the total count in the city to 2,918. On Saturday, the number of cases were 2,625.

According to the data shared by the Delhi government, eight patients had recovered on Sunday, taking the total number of cured or discharged patients to 877. Almost 1,987 COVID-19 cases are still active, while no new deaths were reported on Sunday.

In Delhi, the first highest number of COVID-19 cases were reported in a day was 356 on 13th April. Three media people are also tested positive for coronavirus. Sources had said that among the infected persons, one is a freelance photographer whereas the other two are camerapersons.

The Delhi government had set up a testing facility and hundreds of media persons underwent coronavirus test recently.
