Government doctors on service or contract bond in Maharashtra to get Rs 15,000 hike

The Maharashtra government has recently announced a decent hike in the monthly remuneration for doctors who are on service and contract bonds.

As per a statement that is issued from the chief ministers office, MBBS doctors on bond who are working in tribal belts will get paid Rs 75,000, which is up from Rs 60,000. And specialists on bond in tribal belts will be paid Rs 85,000 up from Rs 70,000.

MBBS, MS, MD and super-speciality degrees doctors who graduate from government or municipal medical colleges have to serve a mandatory tenure in government hospitals and are on service or contract bond. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said that given this hike, it will boost the morale of frontline healthcare workers. In other parts of the state, MBBS doctors will get paid Rs 70,000 up from Rs 55,000 and specialists will get paid Rs 80,000 up from Rs 65,000.
