Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has developed coronavirus like symptoms and hence will undergo test for COVID-19. He cancelled all his meetings since Sunday and is into self-isolation, after developing mild fever and sore throat.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that the chief minister was feeling low since Sunday afternoon. He had fever and throat pain. He has immediately put himself into self-isolation at his home. All meetings are cancelled since Sunday and he will undergo COVID-19 test on Tuesday.

Doctors had advised Kejriwal to avoid meetings and stay isolated, as he has a medical history of diabetes for a long time. Singh said that he is praying to God that everything should be fine and he recovers soon and resume work.

Kejriwal was working from home and attended several meetings through videoconferencing during the complete lockdown phase. He returned to the secretariat on a regular basis after the relaxations. Aam Aadmi Party functionaries and several members of the opposition BJP and Congress have wished him a speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, three staff at the North district magistrate office have tested positive for COVID-19, resulting an extensive sanitization exercise. All three of them do not have any major symptoms and are under home isolation. An official said that contact tracing will be done and all those with COVID-19 symptoms would be tested.
