Trials are underway at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital on four different technologies, including a breath analyzer and a voice test that can potentially detect COVID-19 in about 30 seconds.

The Directorate of Defense Research and Development of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and the Principal Scientific Adviser, India are jointly working on the rapid testing. It is being coordinated by the foreign affairs ministries of Israel and India. The tests include a voice test that makes use of artificial intelligence to detect changes in a patient’s voice and a breath analyzer test wherein a person blows into a tube to detect novel coronavirus using terra-hertz waves. Isothermal testing to identify the virus in a saliva sample and a test using poly-amino acids that isolates proteins related to COVID-19 are also being assessed… (ET Healthworld – TNN, August 1, 2020)
