Relative hyperglycemia during insulin treatment, but not absolute, is associated with mortality, heart failure, arrhythmia, cardiogenic shock following an acute myocardial infarction, according to a post-hoc analysis of HI-5 study published December 12, 2017 in the journal Cardiovascular Diabetology.
