India has clearlysurpassed the 140 tests per day per million population, as advised by the World Health Organization (WHO) for comprehensive surveillance of COVID-19 by around 6-fold, stated the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).

It added that some States/UTs have performed better than the national average. India is currently conducting 828 tests per day per million population, according to the updated data, with Delhi on top with a testing average of 2,717, followed by Goa at 1,319 and Karnataka at 1,261.Rajasthan is at the bottom with 280 tests per day per million population… (ET Healthworld – ANI, October 5, 2020)
