Express News Service    15 October 2020

From Thursday onwards, members of the Kerala Government Medical Officers’ Association (KGMOA) are going to boycott all the healthcare duties except patient care and COVID treatment. This protest is against the government’s negative attitude towards KGMOA demands such as appointment of enough manpower and re-establishing the earlier pattern of COVID duty leave and disbursement of delayed salary.

As per the KGMOA, the government has not implemented any of their suggestions that would support the healthcare workers who are working hard for the past nine months continuously. Their other demands include planning and setting up of block-level call centres for giving treatment advice and counselling to those who are under house surveillance.
