There were two geese who were set to start their annual migration. A frog pleaded them to take him with them. The geese, though willing to do so, looked for a means of conveyance.

The frog brought a long stalk of pond grass, and asked the geese each to grab one end with their beaks. The frog clung to it by his mouth in the middle. The three then set out on their journey. Some farmers below noticed this and loudly expressed their admiration for the device, wondering who had been clever enough to discover it. The frog quickly opened his mouth to say that it was his idea, and lost his grip. He fell to the ground and was dashed to pieces.
