Early-Onset Type 2 Diabetes is not a Benign Condition

According to a national study in Denmark, younger adults newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes had increased odds of having cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors, such as severe obesity, hyperlipidemia, low-grade inflammation, physical inactivity, and smoking, compared with adults who developed diabetes later in life. The findings from the study have been published in Diabetes/Metabolism Research and Reviews.
