Indias COVID-19 active caseload has declined to 4.35% of the total infections reported thus far, down from 4.44% on Thursday, stated the Union health ministry.
Continuing with the trend over the previous seven days, India also reported more daily coronavirus recoveries than daily new cases in 24 hours. The trend of more daily recoveries vs. daily cases has resulted in a persistent contraction of the country’s active caseload which now stands at 4,16,082, stated the ministry. Overall, 36,595 new COVID-19 infections were reported in a span of 24 hours, and 42,916 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, with the difference of 6,321 between new recoveries and new infections leading to a net decline of 6,861 cases from the total active caseload within a 24-hour period… (NDTV – PTI, December 4, 2020)
