The Russian Development Investment Fund (RDIF) has stated that it expects to register Sputnik V vaccine in India soon and it will cost less than $10 per dose.

Kirill Dimitriev, chief executive of RDIF, Russia’s sovereign wealth fund, stated that the cost of the vaccine is one-fourth of the mRNA vaccines. Dimitriev stated that there should be equal access and equal pricing to all the countries, adding that Moderna and Pfizer vaccines with more than 90% efficacy are double and triple the price of their vaccine. Sputnik Vmakes use of two adenovirus vectors which yield better efficacy, stated RDIF. The company is also conducting trials with AstraZeneca on the vaccine… (ET Healthworld, January 22, 2021)
