US President Joe Biden stiffened the mask wearing rules and ordered quarantine for individuals flying into the United States, as he started work on handling the COVID-19 pandemic on his first full day in power.

He signed 10 executive orders in the White House, and told the country that COVID-19 deaths were likely to increase from 400,000 to half a million next month. He added that there was a need for radical action.

He stated that it was a national emergency and the nation must treat it like one. He added that besides the requirement of a negative COVID-19 test result before flying, travelers to the US will have to quarantine upon arrival in to the country… (NDTV - Agence France-Presse, January 22, 2021)
