Drunk duo in Pune creates ruckus at hospital and assaults doctor and cop

On Monday, two drunk men, who had a fall from their motorcycle had reached Chakan rural hospital for treatment of their injuries. They created a commotion by abusing and assaulting a doctor along with a security guard and a policeman.

The doctors at the hospital gave treatment to Shrikant Ambore and Kanhaiya Dhavale, both aged 24 years from Kharabwadi and then handed them to the Chakan police. Vinayak Mohole, the hospital’s doctor had lodged an FIR related to the ruckus they had created.

A Chakan police officer said that they had registered an offence against both men under the Maharashtra Prohibition Act, in addition to the offences under the Indian Penal Code and applicable sections of the Maharashtra Medicare Service and Persons and Medicare Institutions Act.

As soon as the police reached the spot, one of them started to run away. Police constable Bajrang Sable then ran after and caught him. The suspect hit the constable hard on his ear and after that he fainted on the spot. The suspect was arrested later.
