India takes 34 days to vaccinate 1 crore people, 2nd fastest in the world

India has vaccinated one crore people against COVID-19, and took 34 days to achieve the milestone. India has become the second fastest country globally to achieve the landmark. The US took 31 days to inoculate the same number of people while the UK took 56 days to cross one crore inoculations.

Till 8 am on Friday, the cumulative number of vaccine doses given to healthcare workers (HCWs) and frontline workers (FLWs) stood at 1,01,88,007. This includes 62,60,242 healthcare workers who have received their 1st dose, 6,10,899 healthcare workers who have been administered the 2nd dose and 33,16,866 frontline workers given the 1st dose… (NDTV – PTI, February 20, 2021)
