Existing COVID-19 guidelines to continue till March 31: MHA

The Ministry of Home Affairs has stated that the COVID-19 guidelines currently in place will continue till March 31. 

The ministry, released a statement mentioning that though a considerable fall has been observed in the active and fresh COVID-19 cases, surveillance and containment need to be maintained, and there is a need to exercise caution in order to tackle the pandemic. The ministry has advised states and union territories to accelerate the vaccinations.

Containment zones will continue to be carefully marked and the prescribed measures need to be strictly followed in these zones. COVID-appropriate behavior must be promoted and followed rigorously, and the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) prescribed regarding permitted activities need to be precisely followed… (ET Healthworld – PTI, February 26, 2021)
