According to a health official, from 15th March COVID-19 vaccination will be conducted 24x7 in five hospitals of Gurugram. Gurugram will become the first district in Haryana to introduce this facility.

The five hospitals include Civil Hospital Sector-10, Medanta the Medicity, Fortis Memorial Hospital Artemis and Max hospital.

Dr. Virender Yadav, who is a Civil Surgeon of Gurugram said that the decision was taken with a view to offer reachable vaccination facilities to the people for protecting them from the coronavirus. At present, the vaccination is carried out in 22 government and 45 private hospitals in the district.

People are vaccinated in the government hospitals on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, whereas in the private hospitals, the vaccine is given from Monday to Saturday. Seven new private hospitals are also added to the list of 45 hospitals wherein the vaccination will start from Saturday.

Yadav said that the number of COVID-19 patients is rising daily in the country and it is assumed that there might be an upsurge in the total number of positive cases in the coming days, so everybody should be prepared. If cases increase, the number of beds that are reserved for COVID patients can also be increased in private hospitals.

He said that the containment zone will be barricaded as earlier and there will be limitations on movement. They have urged the police officers to place their staff on duty outside the containment zones. And those people who are not following the COVID protocol should be penalised.

On this helpline number, any individual can get all the information related to COVID Vaccination such as schedule of vaccination, places of vaccination and its side-effects, etc. The helpline number is – 108, mobile number-7015663108.
