Leaves of doctors, health workers cancelled till April 5 in Bihar

Considering the surge in COVID-19 cases, Bihar Health Department has cancelled the leaves of all doctors and health workers till April 5, 2021, with immediate effect.

The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, after an interaction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Chief Ministers, stated that the state government would increase the number of daily COVID-19 tests. Kumar told the media that the state government was alert and a meeting will soon be held with all districts. He added that the number of daily COVID-19 tests will be increased to 70,000 again.

He further stated that the situation in Bihar was under control but they needed to be careful. 

Meanwhile, 3,93,39,817 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine had been administered till 8 am on Friday in the country.
