Surgeons prone to work-related musculoskeletal injury

Results of a systematic review and meta-analysis published online December 27 in JAMA Surgery show that surgeons and medical interventionalists are especially at high risk for work-related musculoskeletal disorders attributed to standing in awkward, static positions for long hours, wearing heavy gowns or heavy equipment worn on the head.
