COVID-19-related deaths across the globe crossed the 3 million mark on Tuesday, as per a Reuters tally, amid a worldwide resurgence of COVID-19 cases.
Deaths related to COVID-19 are rising again, especially in Brazil and India. More infectious variants, first detected in the United Kingdom and South Africa, along with public fatigue are to be blamed, state health officials. A Reuters tally suggests that it took more than a year for the death toll to reach 2 million globally. However, the next 1 million fatalities were reported in about three months.
