US President Joe Biden has announced that every adult in the country will be eligible for vaccination against COVID-19 by April 19. This is two weeks earlier than the May 1 deadline previously proposed.

The President also urged senior citizens to get their vaccination done before eligibility expanded to all adults. He mentioned that during his 75 days in office, 150 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines had been administered and 75% of senior citizens have received at least one vaccine dose. He hopes that 200 million vaccinations will be done by the time he completes 100 days in office. Biden added that COVID-19 cases in the US were rising and deadly new variants were spreading, and urged people to continue following social distancing and wearing masks… (ET Healthworld – ANI, April 7, 2021)
