COVAX reaches more than 100 economies

The COVAX Facility has successfully delivered life-saving vaccines to more than 100 economies since the first international delivery to Ghana on February 24 this year.

Over 38 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines from AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNTech and Serum Institute of India have now been delivered, including 61 economies that are eligible to receive vaccines through the Gavi COVAX Advance Market Commitment. The initiative intends to deliver vaccines against COVID-19 to all participating economies that have asked for the vaccines, in the first half of this year, despite delays in planned deliveries for the months of March and April.
