Pfizer-BioNTech have sought authorization for using their COVID-19 vaccine on 12-15 year olds in the United States.

The request comes after Phase 3 trials of the vaccine conducted in 12-15 year olds were 100% effective in averting the disease, reported the companies.In late March, the findings of trials conducted in 2,260 adolescents in the US were publishedthat showed robust antibody responses.
