According to updated government figures, over 10 million people in the UK have been administered a second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

This translates to over 19% of UK adults now being fully vaccinated. Around 33 million individuals have received their first dose so far.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated that it was a "remarkable milestone". The health secretary urged people to get the vaccine as soon as possible. He further stated that second doses of the vaccine against COVID-19 are essential to maximize the strength and duration of protection from the viral disease.
