Pfizer in talks with India for vaccine supply

Pfizer has offered to supply its mRNA vaccine to India at a not-for-profit price under its strategy of adopting a distinct pricing structure for different countries.

A company spokesperson said that Pfizer has offered a not-for-profit price for India for its vaccine for the government immunization program, adding that they were in discussions with the government and were committed to make the vaccine available for deployment in India. The company is following a distinct pricing structure and stated that this would be the approach in India also.

The company did not disclose the price structure; however, in the US, the company is charging $19.5 per dose from the government for vaccine supply… (ET Healthworld, April 22, 2021)
