With COVID-19 cases spreading rapidly, the Center has advised people to wear masks even inside homes, more so when using a common space and added that it would be good not to invite visitors.

Dr V K Paul, a NITI Aayog member and head of the government’s group on vaccinations, said that people should start wearing masks inside their homes also, particularly when all the members are sitting together. Dr Paul added that mask protocol should also be followed when there is a person isolated due to COVID-19 at home in order to limit the risk of infection. The government also stressed that improper use of masks and lack of physical distancing can heighten the risk of transmission by 90%.
