The effective treatment of vitamin A is limited, vitamin A may act as a potent treatment option for COVID 19. Vitamin A has potent physiological functions, including promoting growth and reproduction and maintaining bone, epithelial tissue, vision, and normal secretion of mucosal epithelium. Seven core targets of vitamin A have been identified against COVID 19, including MAPK1, IL10, EGFR, ICAM1, MAPK14, CAT, and PRKCB. It has been reported that vitamin A can improve the ability of immune cells to produce antibodies and induce T lymphocytes to release functional lymphokines. Vitamin A was earlier reported to play a significant role against pneumonia and has also been considered to be a potential clinical treatment for SARS-CoV-2 infection.
